SportPesa has reaffirmed its unwavering support for Gor Mahia ahead of the club’s return to continental football, with the betting firm’s Global Head of Sponsorship, Alan McTavish, urging the players to return refreshed and ready to compete in the CAF Champions League.
Speaking during Gor Mahia’s end-of-season dinner held at the Curve Hotel in Nairobi on Tuesday evening, McTavish praised the club’s achievements and reiterated SportPesa’s pride in its long-standing partnership with Kenya’s most successful football club.
“We’re a very proud sponsor, title sponsor of the SportPesa League here in Kenya,” McTavish said. “We’re very proud to be front-of-shirt sponsors with Gor Mahia and we wish the team all the very best for the summer.”
The sponsorship chief encouraged players and technical staff to take a well-deserved break before shifting focus to the challenges that lie ahead in both domestic and continental competitions.
“Have some rest and relaxation, come back ready to fight and qualify for the CAF Champions League. We look forward to supporting you and we wish you all the best,” he added.
Strong Partnership Continues
McTavish’s remarks come at a time when Gor Mahia are celebrating another successful campaign after reclaiming the 2025/26 SportPesa League title. The championship secured the club’s place in next season’s CAF Champions League qualifiers, where K’Ogalo will be aiming to make a significant impact on the continental stage.
