The Green Army has received tough news after our talismanic forward Felix Oluoch was ruled out for a lengthy spell following knee surgery.

Gor Mahia’s top scorer this season, Oluoch, has undergone a successful operation for an osteochondral injury and a torn meniscus. This absence is expected to keep him sidelined for up to three months, likely ruling him out for the rest of the campaign.

Despite the setback, the club has moved swiftly, with the medical team confirming that the striker is stable and already focused on recovery.

“Felix successfully underwent knee surgery and is doing well. His return is expected in around 12 weeks, depending on rehabilitation progress,” confirmed club doctor Brian Odongo.

Green Army, This Is the Moment to Stand Tall

Losing a player of Oluoch’s quality is never easy. With seven goals to his name this season, he has been a key figure in K’Ogalo’s march to the summit. But if history has taught us anything, it’s this: Gor Mahia thrives in adversity.

With the transfer window closed, head coach Charles Akonnor is placing his trust in the squad that has carried the badge with pride all season.

The responsibility of leading the attack now rests with Ebenezer Assifuah, and Akonnor has called for smart management as the title push intensifies.

“Felix is out, probably until next season. We are now left with Assifuah as our main striker and we must manage him well as we go into the remaining matches,” the coach said.

Title Focus Unchanged as K’Ogalo Lead the Pack

Even with this challenge, the mission remains clear: bring the title home.

K’Ogalo sit proudly at the top of the table with 49 points, six clear of arch-rivals AFC Leopards, and firmly in control of the title race.

Akonnor believes the team’s mental strength, honed week after week, will be the difference when pressure mounts.

“At this stage of the season, mental toughness is everything. The boys understand what is required. The focus is winning, and making the right decisions at the right time,” he stated.

One Team. One Dream. One Green Army.

Yes, Felix Oluoch will be missed. But this is the time for the Green Army to rally louder, push harder, and remind the team that they are never alone.

Every tackle. Every goal. Every final whistle.
This is K’Ogalo. This is our moment.
