Ahead of the new season which is kicking off this weekend, Gor Mahia have announced players who have been released and will not be part of the 2018/19 season.
The names were confirmed by the clubās chairman Ambrose Rachier and CEO Lordvick Aduda.
āWe officially released three players and that means, they will not be part of squad for the new season. Wesley Onguso, Kevin Omondi and Stephen Okiro are the players we released,ā CEO Aduda told Gor Mahia website.
Two playersā contracts are ending in January and Karim Nizigiyimana had agreed with the club to part ways while Innocent Wafula is yet to settle down for any negotiations or contract renewal.
āFor Karimās case, we agreed with the player as earlier communicated but for Innocent Wafulaās issue, his contract is ending in January and we are not sure if he is keen on extending his stay at the club,ā chairman Rachier said.
Wesley Onguso was signed from Sofapaka and has since joined Posta Rangers, Stephen Okiro went back to his former club Bidco United while Kevin Omondi has joined Tusker FC.
