Gor Mahia FC have firmly announced their return to top form after a dominant run of results in the FKF Premier League (KPL), winning five of their last six matches and drawing one to move clear at the summit of the table.

The Kenyan record champions have scored 14 goals and conceded just four during this period, underlining their growing balance between attacking firepower and defensive discipline as the season enters a decisive phase.

Gor Mahia 4–1 Kariobangi Sharks: Statement Win at Kasarani

K’Ogalo set the tone on 6 January 2026 with a resounding 4–1 victory over Kariobangi Sharks at Kasarani Stadium.

Goals from Ben Stanley Omondi, Ebenezer Adukwah, Samuel Kapen, and Felix Oluoch showcased Gor Mahia’s attacking depth and fluidity, sending an early warning to title rivals.

Shabana Hold Gor Mahia to Goalless Draw in Gusii

The only dropped points in the run came on 11 January when Gor Mahia were held to a 0–0 draw by Shabana FC at Gusii Stadium. Despite dominating possession, the champions were unable to break down a resolute Shabana defense in a tightly contested encounter.

Gor Mahia 3–2 Murang’a Seal: A Comeback for the History Books

One of the most dramatic matches of the 2025/26 FKF Premier League season unfolded on 14 January against bogey side Murang’a Seal.

Trailing 2–0 at halftime, Gor Mahia looked destined for another setback. However, a spirited second-half response saw goals from Felix Oluoch, Paul Ochuoga, and new signing Ebenezer Kofi Assifuah complete a stunning 3–2 comeback—a result that reignited belief within the squad and supporters alike.

Convincing 3–0 Win Over Mara Sugar at Nyayo Stadium

Gor Mahia maintained their momentum on 18 January, sweeping aside Mara Sugar FC 3–0 at Nyayo Stadium.

Felix Oluoch, Musa Shariff, and Samuel Kapen were on the scoresheet as K’Ogalo controlled the match from start to finish.

Revenge Served Against Bidco United

Facing Bidco United, the team that had embarrassed them on opening day, Gor Mahia showed clear signs of maturity and tactical growth.

Goals from Ebenezer Assifuah and a dramatic 90+7 minute winner by Paul Ochuoga sealed a hard-fought 2–1 victory, erasing memories of the season’s rocky start.

Sofapaka 0–3 Gor Mahia: Defensive Goals Seal Dominant Display

Gor Mahia wrapped up league action before the cup break with a commanding 3–0 win over Sofapaka on 31 January.

Defenders Frank Odhiambo and Sylvester Owino found the net with headers before Ebenezer Adukwah converted from the penalty spot, highlighting the team’s threat from set pieces.

FKF Premier League Standings Update
After six matches:
  • Matches played: 6
  • Wins: 5
  • Draws: 1
  • Goals scored: 14
  • Goals conceded: 4

Gor Mahia now top the FKF Premier League table with 40 points, five ahead of rivals AFC Leopards on 36 points.

Focus Shifts to Mozzart Bet Cup

With the league taking a short break, attention turns to the Mozzart Bet Cup Round of 64, where Gor Mahia will look to carry their fine league form into knockout competition as they chase silverware on multiple fronts.
