Gor Mahia are now firmly in control of the 2025/26 Kenyan Premier League title race after collecting seven points from a possible nine in a difficult run of fixtures against AFC Leopards, Kakamega Homeboyz and Kenya Police FC.
K’Ogalo managed crucial results in the three matches to tighten their grip at the top of the table as the league season heads into the final stretch.
Their latest assignment came on Sunday, May 10, 2026, against Kenya Police FC at the iconic Nyayo National Stadium, where an estimated crowd close to half of the 22,000-capacity stadium turned up for the high-stakes clash.
Despite the moderate turnout, Gor Mahia supporters dominated the atmosphere, with nearly 98 percent of fans inside the stadium backing the record league champions.
According to club ticketing reports, a total of 7,490 fans purchased tickets for the encounter, a figure considered an average attendance for a league fixture of such magnitude.
The result leaves Gor Mahia sitting top of the table with 65 points after playing 31 matches, opening a seven-point gap over arch-rivals AFC Leopards, who are second on 58 points.
With only three matches remaining in the campaign, K’Ogalo now need just two wins from their final games to officially clinch the 2025/26 Kenyan Premier League title and further extend their dominance in Kenyan football.
