In an inspiring display of support for youth athletics, the Eliud Owalo Foundation, led by Gor Mahia Deputy Patron Eliud Owalo, generously donated a set of tracksuits and playing kits to the Agai Secondary School soccer team.

This impactful event took place on the school’s grounds in Nyakach, Kisumu County, where the excitement and anticipation for the upcoming sports season were palpable.

The donation is part of the Foundation’s initiative to empower young athletes as they prepare to represent the Nyanza region in the prestigious National Championships, scheduled to be held in Kakamega next week. With the right apparel, the team is poised to take the field in style and confidence, reflecting their dedication and hard work.

Accompanying Eliud Owalo were several esteemed former Kenyan soccer internationals, including the celebrated Peter Dawo “Omuga,” known for his agility on the pitch; John “Bobby” Ogolla, a legendary defender; George Onyango “Fundi,” a skilled midfielder; James Goro Oronge, recognized for his goal-scoring prowess; and Isaiah “Janabi” Omondi, who has made a name for himself in Kenyan soccer history.

Their presence added a motivational boost for the students, as they shared personal anecdotes of perseverance and success in their soccer careers.

The event was well attended, with the school’s Principal, Mr. Gordon Akoko, expressing heartfelt appreciation for the support provided.

Local Member of County Assembly (MCA) Lumumba Owade also joined the festivities, highlighting the importance of community involvement in encouraging youth engagement in sports.

Additionally, notable alumni from Maseno School, including Kasuku Achilla and Patrick Lumumba Omedo, made their presence felt, showcasing solidarity and commitment to fostering local talent.

This donation not only marks a significant milestone for the Agai Secondary School soccer team as it embarks on a journey to national recognition, but it also underscores the vital role that community organizations and former athletes play in nurturing future generations.

The excitement is building as the team prepares to travel to Kakamega, ready to compete fiercely and represent Nyanza with pride.
