Patrice Motsepe is set to attend and address delegates at the Africa Forward Summit taking place in Nairobi on Monday and Tuesday, May 11-12, 2026.
The Confédération Africaine de Football President is expected to speak during the summit on Monday afternoon, with discussions anticipated to focus on Africa’s sports development, infrastructure growth, innovation and continental partnerships.
Kenya is among the three East African nations selected to host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations alongside Uganda and Tanzania. The tournament, scheduled for June and July 2027, is expected to become one of the biggest sporting spectacles ever staged in the region.
During his visit, Dr Motsepe is also expected to hold high-level meetings with senior government and football officials from Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda regarding preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. Key discussions are likely to revolve around stadium readiness, infrastructure development, transport logistics and regional coordination ahead of the continental tournament.
