[dropcap]G[/dropcap]or Mahia head coach Dylan Kerr is appreciating fans support as the league enters its crucial and final stretch to title.
The tactician who is enjoying a good run in the league campaign, particularly appreciated fans who thronged Thika Municipal stadium on Sunday to offer their support to the team in a tie that ended in a barren draw against hosts Thika United.
Kerr said even though the team didn’t get maximum points, fans were amazing and they are the perfect fan base anyone would wish to have in any competition.
Though we didn’t get maximum points, the draw was just good enough if we couldn’t win on such a terrible playing surface.
“One that l must and will always appreciate is the fans’ support. They were amazing and have shown the zeal all through since l joined the club. I can’t thank them enough for their fantastic support,” Kerr told the official club’s website.
In what he said should have been replicated on the field, the Briton wished his players would have exhibited that face of energy and enthusiasm against their Sunday’s opponents.
“l just wish my players had the same enthusiasm and energy of those supporters against our opponents. Credit to the Green Army.”
Kerr has been in charge of nine league matches – winning seven and drawing two to stay firm at the summit of the Kenyan Premier League with 51 points and a gap of nine points.
