Gor Mahia Chairman Ambrose Rachier has been quoted saying said that the club is making no money from jersey sales. The reason being cheaper ones being sold by pirates.

Knock-off jerseys are available for a fraction of the price of official replicas, a fact that even Brookside company which was in charge of jersey sales when Tuzo sponsored Gor Mahia in 2012 admitted.

In 2019 Gor Mahia first tried to sell their Macron official kit at Ksh 5000. When it was not selling, they knocked the price down to Ksh 3500. Still, sales were pathetic.

In 2021 the club is selling their official kit at Ksh 3500 through Jumia Kenya. Fact remains that broke fans will never buy a jersey at Ksh 3500.

Gor Mahia should restrategise and make available cheaper jerseys for sale at Ksh 1500.

The same should be done for other merchandise like Gor Mahia scarves, T-Shirts, ballpoint pens, caps and cups.

These merchandises should be sold at the stadium when Gor Mahia are playing.

Account for the money and fans will religiously buy the official merchandise sold by the club to enable the club to gain financially.
