Gor Mahia Deputy Patron Mr. Eliud Owalo held a significant meeting in his office with Mr. and Mrs. Manoah Mugodo, the parents of newly signed right back Lewis Bandi. This meeting marks an important step as Bandi joins the ranks of the illustrious Gor Mahia, known for their remarkable history in Kenyan football.

Lewis Bandi, a talented defender previously with AFC Leopards, is set to bolster the K’Ogalo defense next season. He will collaborate with notable players such as Sylvester Owino, Alphonse Omija, and Geoffrey Ochieng’, contributing to a strong defensive lineup that Gor Mahia fans hope will secure more victories in the upcoming season.

Mr. Owalo who is also The Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Delivery and Government Efficiency in the Executive Office of the President of Kenya, expressed his appreciation to Bandi’s family, offering warm wishes for the player’s success in his journey with Gor Mahia.

“I have this morning met Mr. and Mrs. Manoah Mugodo, parents to Harambee Stars Right-Back Lewis Bandi,” Owalo stated, emphasizing the importance of family support in an athlete’s career.

Bandi, who is currently representing Harambee Stars in the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN), has made headlines for his outstanding performances. Notably, he has played a crucial role in the team’s unexpected success at the tournament, where they’ve reached the quarter-finals by securing impressive victories against established teams like Morocco, DR Congo, and Zambia.

Reflecting on the ongoing championship, Mr. Owalo praised Bandi’s exceptional contributions, particularly highlighting his performance in the recent match against Zambia, where he showcased skill and determination. His involvement in the national team has undoubtedly enhanced his profile and made him a valuable addition to Gor Mahia.

Recently, Bandi signed a two-year contract with Gor Mahia FC, a move that has garnered a lot of excitement among the club’s supporters. The club’s management and fans alike are eager to see how his prowess on the field will contribute to the team’s ambitions in both local and continental competitions.

As Bandi embarks on this new chapter with Gor Mahia, we wish him a successful and fulfilling career at K’Ogalo. His journey is not just a personal achievement; it is also a source of pride for his family and a hopeful signal for the team’s future endeavors.
