Kenyan regional airline Renegade Air has congratulated newly crowned FKF Premier League champions Gor Mahia after flying the team to Homa Bay ahead of their scheduled FKF Premier League fixture against Mara Sugar FC that was later cancelled.
The airline shared a video on its social media platforms showing the champions boarding the flight, arriving in Homa Bay, and receiving premium handling services ahead of the much-anticipated Sunday, May 24 clash.
In the post, Renegade Air wrote:
“From takeoff to victory. Proud to have flown the champions to Homabay for Sunday’s fixture. Congratulations on the league triumph.

The FKF Premier League encounter between Mara Sugar and Gor Mahia had attracted nationwide attention due to its title implications, with Gor Mahia needing victory to officially seal the championship. However, the match was suspended following intervention by the Sports Disputes Tribunal (SDT) over a dispute concerning the venue hosting rights.
Initially, the match had been scheduled for Awendo before FKF directed that it be moved to Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay over security and logistical concerns surrounding the anticipated huge crowd. Mara Sugar challenged the decision at the tribunal, leading to the cancellation of the fixture pending further hearing of the case.
Despite the postponement, Gor Mahia still secured the 2025/26 FKF Premier League title after rivals AFC Leopards lost 2-1 to APS Bomet, mathematically handing K’Ogalo a record-extending 22nd league crown.
Renegade Air’s message added to the growing celebrations surrounding Gor Mahia’s latest league triumph as the club now shifts focus to next season’s CAF Champions League campaign.
