The conversation included insights on improving training facilities, nurturing young talent, and strengthening grassroots programs to cultivate future stars.

Otieno shared his extensive experience from his years as an international referee, stressing the importance of upholding standards and fair play in the sport, while Oguda highlighted the need for collaboration between football federations, clubs, and the government to create a sustainable football ecosystem.

Together, they deliberated over potential partnerships and sponsorship opportunities that could provide much-needed resources for the national team and local leagues.

The meeting concluded with a sense of optimism and a shared vision for elevating Kenyan football, setting the stage for a robust performance in the upcoming CHAN tournament.

As preparations continue, stakeholders across the football community are hopeful that these discussions will translate into actionable strategies, enhancing Kenya’s chances of success and leaving a lasting impact on the sport in the country.
