[dropcap]K[/dropcap]arim Nizigiyimana has been missing in action since the nasty ankle injury suffered in a league match against Mathare United last year in October but the defender is doing well and on with light training sessions in Rwanda.
Karim had a corrective surgery on his right ankle and has been doing well with his recovery process – currently he’s under therapy and light training as he tries to get his form back.
“I am doing well with my treatment. Currently, no pains, I can run and juggle the ball. I feel good about this” said defender.
Karim who was in effervescent mood added: “I have a date with my doctor next week just to have a final check-up before I can be officially allowed to start having full training with the team. I am crossing my fingers and it’s my prayer all goes well. l have missed playing… l have missed the lovely Gor Mahia fans.”
The defender also showed his delight for the teams qualification for Caf Confederation Cup group stage.
“I am so happy we qualified for group stage, we have been building up for this all the way from 2015. Our target was Champions League because as a team, we believe that’s where we belong but it’s all fine, this is a big step, we’ll continue to build on it until we get there.”
Karim has been instrumental since he joined and was part of the invincible team of 2015 season. His return will surely have a positive impact.
