Kenya premier league teams under the KPL caucus issued a press briefing declining to participate in the caretaker committee sanctioned league beginning this season.
Led by Gor Mahia FC acting CEO Raymond Oruo, the clubs pointed at several challenges they have been facing including, the dwindling of soccer standards in the country owing to the FIFA suspension on Kenya.
Sports CS Amina Mohamed instituted the caretaker committee led by retired Justice Harun Ringera to oversee football activities pending the corruption investigation on FKF chairman Nick Mwendwa.
With the new premier league season set to kick off next month, it remains to be seen how the situation will unfold for the beautiful game in Kenya.
