World football governing body FIFA has officially congratulated Gor Mahia after the club clinched the 2025/26 FKF Premier League title.
In a letter addressed to Hussein Mohammed, FIFA President Gianni Infantino praised Gor Mahia for their consistency and determination throughout the season.
The letter dated May 28, 2026 from Zurich, Switzerland read:
“By means of this letter, I am pleased to congratulate the recently crowned champions of Kenya, Gor Mahia FC.
Their constant efforts and results throughout the season have paid off, resulting in this important title. Congratulations to each and every member of the team and of the club for this great achievement.”
Infantino also thanked the Football Kenya Federation for its continued efforts in developing football in the country.
The message from FIFA adds to the growing list of congratulations received by K’Ogalo after reclaiming the league crown. Gor Mahia sealed the championship after rivals AFC Leopards failed to keep pace in the title race, handing the Green Army a record-extending 22nd league title.
The triumph further cements Gor Mahia’s place as Kenya’s most successful football club, with decades of dominance in local football and continental recognition.
