Gor Mahia’s nationwide support network has once again demonstrated its power and organization following the conclusion of the March 31, 2026 branch affiliation deadline.

The record Kenyan champions continue to boast one of the most structured fan ecosystems in the region, with over 70 officially recognized branches spread across the country. ([Gor Mahia FC][1])

From urban centers like Nairobi to remote towns, these branches form the backbone of K’Ogalo’s identity—mobilizing fans, supporting matchday logistics, and driving community engagement.

Affiliation Drive: A Key Club Strategy

The latest affiliation and renewal exercise was part of a broader administrative push by the club to streamline operations, enhance communication, and strengthen its grassroots structures.

Earlier notices from the club emphasized the importance of compliance, warning that branches risked losing official recognition if they failed to meet the deadline. ([Facebook][2])

At one point during the exercise, reports indicated that only 54 out of 90 branches had completed renewal, highlighting the urgency behind the final push. ([X (formerly Twitter)][3])

The final list now reflects a significantly improved turnout, signaling renewed commitment among supporters.

Branches That Picked Their Certificates

A large number of branches successfully completed the process and went a step further to collect their official affiliation certificates, marking full compliance with club regulations.

These branches include key strongholds such as:

  •  Kibera Main
  •  Kayole Junction
  •  Umoja
  •  Kitengela Main
  •  Dandora Sharpcorner
  •  Kariobangi North
  •  Kisii
  •  Lucky Summer
  •  Ruaraka Five Stars
  •  Kangemi Highway
  •  Transparency
  •  Team Eagle

Their compliance not only secures their official status but also positions them to actively participate in club programs, ticketing coordination, and fan mobilization initiatives.

Affiliated but Yet to Pick Certificates

Despite successfully affiliating, several branches are yet to pick their certificates, meaning they have not fully completed the process.

This group includes branches such as:

  •  Dagoreti
  •  Rongo
  •  Mountain View
  •  Langata Highway
  •  Dandora Main
  •  Ruaraka Main
  •  USA Diaspora
  •  Nakuru Flamingo
  •  Kericho Town
  •  Eastleigh South

The club is expected to issue further communication urging these branches to finalize the process to remain fully operational within official structures.

Why Branches Matter to Gor Mahia

Branches are more than just fan groups—they are the lifeblood of Gor Mahia’s identity and operations.

The club has consistently emphasized that branches play a central role in:

  •  Fan mobilization during matches
  •  Revenue generation through ticketing and merchandise
  •  Maintaining discipline and organization among supporters
  •  Supporting club initiatives such as anti-counterfeit campaigns

In recent seasons, Gor Mahia has also leaned on branches to support modernization efforts, including digital ticketing and membership restructuring.

A Growing Movement Beyond Football

Founded in 1968, Gor Mahia remains one of Kenya’s most culturally significant football institutions, with a fanbase deeply rooted in community identity and unity. ([Wikipedia][5])

The continued expansion and organization of branches reflect not just football passion, but a movement that transcends sport, connecting fans across regions and even internationally.

What Next for the Branches?

With the affiliation process now closed, focus shifts to:

  • Certificate collection completion
  •  Strengthening branch activities
  •  Increased involvement in club programs
  •  Mobilization ahead of upcoming fixtures

The club is expected to integrate compliant branches into upcoming initiatives as part of its broader strategy to reclaim dominance on and off the pitch.

The successful affiliation exercise is a clear statement, Gor Mahia’s Green Army remains one of the most organized and passionate fanbases in African football. As branches continue to align with club structures, K’Ogalo’s foundation grows even stronger.

Together, they remain unstoppable.
