Reigning champions Gor Mahia will face Talanta FC this Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the vibrant Dandora Stadium. The highly anticipated match will kick off at 15:00 East African Time.

This encounter is significant for Gor Mahia as they strive to reclaim the league title. Currently, K’Ogalo trails the league leaders, Tusker FC, by four points, although they have a crucial game in hand. A victorious performance in this match could propel them to second place in the FKF Premier League standings, reigniting their championship aspirations.

K’Ogalo captain Philemon Otieno has assured fans that, regardless of how tough the game may be, the team is well-prepared and will do its best to achieve a positive result.

“It’s a tricky game, and as you know, Talanta is also a tough side because they are fighting to survive in the league, so we can’t underrate them. We have to give a good fight come Thursday,” Otieno said during an interview.

“We are not under any pressure because we have our goals, and we are taking one game at a time. With the quality we have, I believe that come the end of the season, we will be champions,” he added.

Philemon also urged fans to turn out in large numbers and support the team.

“I want to encourage them to come out for us on Thursday and give us the support we need. We, as players, will do everything we can to secure maximum points,” he emphasised.

On the other side, Talanta FC is fiercely battling to avoid relegation and will be a formidable opponent for Gor Mahia. Historically, K’Ogalo has enjoyed considerable success against Talanta FC, boasting four victories and just one loss in their last five encounters in the KPL. With determination etched across their faces, the defending champions are eager to seize this opportunity and secure a vital win.

Despite head coach Sanisa Mihic still serving a suspension, Gor Mahia is ready to field their strongest lineup and unleash their full potential in this pivotal match. The atmosphere at Dandora Stadium is sure to be electric, with fans rallying behind their team, creating an unforgettable backdrop for this thrilling football showdown.
