Record Premier League Champions Gor Mahia grabbed a 2-1 win in their FKF Premier League match day two action played on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Thika Stadium.

Benson Omalla opened the scoring in the 11th minute via a powerful header after receiving a cross from Boniface Omondi.

The Kenyan international almost got his brace in the 18th minute but his efforts went inches away from the target.

Boniface Omondi made an attempt for a goal in the 39th minute that fell short after Bidco United defender Lambert Otieno nicked the ball from his feet, kicking the ball outside earning Gor Mahia a throw-in that did not bare any fruit.

The half-time whistle closed the scores at 1-0 giving Gor Mahia a higher advantage over Bidco United.

After the breather, Gor Mahia’s Ernest Wendo was booked in the 51st minute, and a free-kick was awarded to Bidco United, however, Gor Mahia’s defense cleared the ball out of the danger zone.

Three minutes later, George Odhiambo slid in a second goal for Gor Mahia, giving his team a 2-0 lead. Bidco United Ezekiel Okare’s attempt at a rebound in the 55th minute went wide off the target.

In the 62nd minute, Bidco United’s Henry Juma’s attempt for a goal was stopped in its tracks by Gor Mahia Goalkeeper Gad Matthews who swiped the ball from his feet.

Bidco United’s Ezekiel Okare converted an awarded penalty in the 94th minute. This sealed the full-time scores at 2-1.

Earlier on at the Ruaraka grounds, Sofapaka was held to a 0-0 draw by visiting Posta Rangers, while at Sudi Stadium, Nzoia Sugar also drew 0-0 with Bandari FC
