Former Gor Mahia and Tusker head coach Sammy “Pamzo” Omollo has discussed the importance of the league being televised after Tanzanian broadcasting company Azam TV started airing games this season. For nearly 18 months, the country’s top-flight league had gone without being televised after StarTimes pulled out of its deal with the Football Kenya Federation in late 2021 as the then Sports CS Amina Mohammed opted to disband the federation. However, following the federation’s reinstatement, the committee signed a sponsorship with Azam TV, and Pulse Sports also understands that the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) is set to become the league’s…
Benson Omalla’s early strike and Christopher Ochieng’s late goal were enough to return Gor Mahia to winning ways as they beat Muhoroni Youth 2-0 at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay on Sunday. In what was Omalla’s first goal on five games, the striker found the target in the 16th minute after getting on the end of Austin Odhiambo’s pass. Benson Omala had scored a goal that was flagged offside, but it looked controversial considering the Murang’a…

K’Ogalo had organized this friendly to provide their head coach Johnathan McKinstry with a valuable opportunity to assess the players in camp. The sides were to take part in a friendly back in March, but the game was also canceled. This preparation match was to come a…
Gor Mahia have been handed a close to Ksh2 million bill by Sports Kenya following chaos witnessed at Kasarani Stadium last weekend when a section of fans caused great damage at the facility. Sports Kenya, the body responsible for managing stadia in the country, has billed K’Ogalo Ksh1,995,000 for the damage which saw seats, electrical panes as well as wooden panels destroyed during the club’s FKF Premier League clash against Murang’a Seal last Saturday. Gor, who have been using Kasarani Stadium as their home ground, will also not be allowed in any Sports Kenya-managed facility until they pay for the…
