It is the end of the road for Gor Mahia on this season’s CAF tournament as they bow out of the Confederation Cup after drawing 1-1 to the visitors AS Otôho d’Oyo (1-2 aggregate)
Gor needed a 2-0 victory at home to sail through, but this did not happen with visitors pulling a lead in the 8th minute of the game. K’Ogalo immediately equalized.
K’Ogalo could have gone to the halftime break with a lead when Samuel Onyango’s cross found Philemon Otieno in the back post but his header went wide over the bar.
K’Ogalo pushed for a goal that would revive their hopes of getting to the Group Stages, almost finding one in the 67th minute, but the cross Nkata found Ulimwengu with the Burundian taking the shot wide over the bar.
Another attempt by K’Ogalo was in the 78th minute with the new sup Sydney having a chance to give a lead, but his effort saw the ballot go wide over the bar.
K’Ogalo now shift their focus on domestic competitions after being eliminated from continental football.
