Gor Mahia young midfielder Alpha Onyango is back in training after weeks off the pitch due to an injury sustained at Thika Municipal Stadium.
The talented midfielder has been out with a back injury he picked during the match against Wazito FC on 23rd June 2021.
Alpha marked his return from injury on Saturday, featuring in a friendly match against arch-rivals AFC Leopards.
Another vital player who resumed training is the defender Frank Odhiambo who was away for the Kenya U23 team that took part in the just-concluded Cecafa U23 Championship in Ethiopia.

Pamzo says the pair’s resumption to the training is a great boost for the team to feel the gap left for Kenneth Muguna who has moved to Tanzanian Azam FC.
“It is a very big boost for us to have the two because they are key members of the team despite their young age and their availability makes us stronger. We are already much depleted and having some players coming from an injury or other commitments is a big positive for us and I am very happy. Alpha has been a very key player for us and when you look at our performance, we haven’t won since he got injured and it goes to show just how important he is for the team,” Sid the assistance coach during an interview with Mozzart Sport news team.
The gap left by Kenneth Muguna to Azam Fc and Geoffrey Ochieng’ who picked a knee injury that saw him undergo surgery ca now be filled by the two lads who have be instrumental in this year’s KPL and BetWay cup campaign.
