FKF President Nick Mwendwa on Sunday suspended the chairmen of the most celebrated clubs in Kenya- Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards over the fSaturday’s Mashemeji derby snub.
In a press briefing at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi, Mwendwa also announced that due to the snub of the Saturday league fixture, the two clubs have both been decuted three points while Gor have been fined Sh4 million and Leopards Sh6 million.
The “Mashemeji” derby that was scheduled for Saturday 31st July failed to take place after the two giant clubs declined to take part demanding their dues from Federation with Gor claiming the Sh2 million by winning the FKF Cup and AFC Leopards’ 1million runners up price.
The stringent measures taken by the FKF chief will certainly open a can of worms in the next weeks.
