Gor Mahia secretary general Sam Ochola has hinted that they will be playing much of attacking football following the training pattern new Brazilian tactician Roberto Oliviera has injected into the squad.

Ochola says the team is in high spirits following the additional facilities at their new Two Rivers training ground hence all players are physically fit.

‘’We are back to ‘’Samba football’’. Each player will be expected to hold the ball the least possible, thus it will be the Brazilian kind of football,’’ enthused Ochola, clearly impressed with the new training regime.

In an interview with Citizen Digital, Ochola added that the boys are happy with the league restart timetable saying their target is to start by beating the ‘big teams’ to give them confidence ahead of the CAF Champions League.

‘’The fact that we have been scheduled to start the local league against strong teams is good for us since it will give us the experience we need when we face our continental opponents. It will also put away any worry of facing giants in the future. The boys are happy about this.”

Gor Mahia are set to face Tusker in their season’s opener before facing off with Ulinzi Stars, Mathare United, Sofapaka, Bidco United and Kakamega Homeboyz.

The 18-time champions recently acquired a new training ground at Two Rivers and the club official said the plan this is working well for the boys. The training facilities and gym is a big boost to the club according to Ochola.

But even with the CAF calendar out, Ochola regrets that no specific dates have been given for their fixture hence putting the team in limbo.

K’Ogalo have earmarked winning a continental title their number one goal this term.
