Gor Mahia Football Club has officially announced that its 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Sunday, August 2, with members expected to deliberate on several key governance and financial matters that could shape the club’s future.
In a formal notice issued by Secretary General Nicanor Arum on behalf of the Executive Committee, the meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will be conducted through a hybrid format, allowing members to participate both physically at the Moi International Sports Centre (MISC) Kasarani Indoor Arena and electronically.
The AGM will be convened in accordance with the club’s constitution and is expected to address six major agenda items.
Among the highlights will be the presentation and adoption of the club’s audited financial statements for the year ending December 31, 2025, accompanied by the auditor’s report. Members will also receive the Chairman’s report on the affairs and performance of the record FKF Premier League champions.
Another significant item on the agenda is the consideration and approval of nominees to the club’s Board of Trustees, a process that is expected to attract considerable attention given the board’s role in safeguarding the club’s long-term interests.
The meeting will also confirm and adopt the minutes of the previous AGM held on April 13, 2025, before handling any other business submitted in accordance with the club’s constitution.
The notice comes at a crucial period for Gor Mahia, with the club preparing for the 2026/27 season while also navigating governance matters. The AGM is expected to provide members with an opportunity to review the club’s financial position, assess its performance over the past year, and participate in decisions affecting its future direction.
The announcement also follows ongoing legal proceedings surrounding the tenure of chairman Ambrose Rachier, making the upcoming AGM one of the most anticipated meetings in the club’s recent history.
With thousands of members and supporters keenly following developments at Kenya’s most successful football club, the August 2 gathering is expected to play a significant role in shaping Gor Mahia’s administrative and strategic roadmap ahead of the new campaign.
