Kenya Champions Gor Mahia have taken another significant step towards strengthening their continental ambitions after holding high-level discussions with German sports management company ONEflow Sports, with club Patron Eliud Owalo playing a key role in initiating the engagement.

Owalo, who has been actively pursuing strategic partnerships aimed at transforming the club’s fortunes on and off the pitch, led the process that brought together Gor Mahia and ONEflow Sports, a subsidiary of Stuttgart-based logistics conglomerate ONEflow GmbH.

“I have this evening led Gor Mahia management in a meeting with ONEflow Sports, a subsidiary of logistics conglomerate ONEflow GmbH of Stuttgart, Germany. We explored possible areas of collaboration and partnership,” Owalo said after the meeting.

The Gor Mahia Patron emphasized that building international partnerships is a critical part of the club’s preparations for future continental assignments, particularly the CAF Champions League.

The meeting brought together senior officials from both organizations. The German delegation was led by ONEflow Sports Director Jesper Larsen and included Head of Academy Berni Petersen, Head Coach Miguel de Souza and East Africa Regional Director Ben Leed.

Representing Gor Mahia were Chairman Ambrose Rachier, Secretary General Nick Arrum and Treasurer Gerphas Okuku.

Although details of the proposed partnership were not immediately disclosed, discussions are understood to have focused on football development, technical cooperation, academy structures, talent identification, sports management, and broader institutional growth.

The talks come at a crucial period for the record Kenyan champions, who continue to seek ways of bridging the gap between East African clubs and the continent’s elite sides. Strategic partnerships with established international organizations are increasingly viewed as essential in modern football, offering access to expertise, networks, player development pathways, and commercial opportunities.

Owalo’s involvement highlights the growing importance of his role as Gor Mahia patron, with the former Cabinet Secretary increasingly leveraging his international networks to attract investment, expertise, and partnerships capable of enhancing the club’s competitiveness.

While no formal agreement has been announced, the meeting signals Gor Mahia’s determination to build sustainable international relationships that can support the club’s long-term vision and strengthen its future CAF Champions League campaigns.

For the K’Ogalo faithful, the engagement represents a potentially important step toward positioning the club for greater success both in Kenya and on the continental stage.
