KPL side Murang’a Seal have officially moved their highly anticipated league clash against Gor Mahia from Murang’a to the iconic Nyayo National Stadium ahead of Sunday’s crucial title encounter.
The confirmation was made through Gor Mahia’s official social media platforms, with K’Ogalo stating:
“We will now face Murang’a Seal at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday instead of the originally scheduled venue in Murang’a. Nyamridi.”
The strategic venue switch is widely seen as a clever move by Murang’a Seal, potentially influenced by the expected massive turnout of the K’Ogalo faithful for such a decisive fixture in the title race. With Gor Mahia enjoying one of the biggest fan bases in the country, the Green Army is expected to fill a huge portion of the stadium, giving the hosts an opportunity to maximize gate collections.

Murang’a Seal currently sit comfortably in 10th position on the league table with 41 points, safely away from relegation worries and with little pressure heading into the match.
For Gor Mahia, however, the stakes remain extremely high. The record champions are currently perched at the summit of the league standings, holding a commanding seven-point lead with only three matches remaining in the 2025/2026 campaign.
Victory on Sunday would move K’Ogalo a step closer to sealing yet another league crown as coach Charles Akonnor continues his impressive run with the club.
The match is scheduled for Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi.
