In a significant move for Kenyan football, Gor Mahia FC held a pivotal sponsorship deliberation meeting today, chaired by the newly appointed club Patron Eliud Owalo.

The meeting, which brought together key stakeholders from both Gor Mahia FC and Kansai Plascon Kenya Limited, aimed to discuss a potential partnership that could greatly benefit the football club and its associated teams.

The discussions were marked by the attendance of notable figures from Gor Mahia, including Chairman Ambrose Rachier, Secretary General Nick Arum, and Treasurer Gerphas Okuku. Their presence underscored the club’s commitment to securing a robust sponsorship deal that would not only support Gor Mahia FC but also extend to Gor Mahia Youth FC and Gor Mahia Queens.

On the Kansai Plascon side, the delegation was led by Managing Director Mr. Kota Enami, who emphasized the company’s interest in nurturing local sports talent. He was joined by East Africa Marketing Manager Mr. Kunal Biswas and HR & Administration Manager Mr. Benard Ogango, both of whom shared insights on how a strategic partnership could align with the brand’s vision to enhance community engagement.

Throughout the meeting, both parties engaged in fruitful discussions, examining various aspects of the proposed sponsorship, including funding support, branding opportunities, and community initiatives. The atmosphere was one of positive collaboration, with aspirations for fostering a relationship that not only elevates Gor Mahia’s profile in local and international football but also reinforces Kansai Plascon’s commitment to supporting sports in Kenya.

As the meeting concluded, there was a palpable sense of optimism about the potential partnership and its implications for the future of Gor Mahia FC. Stakeholders expressed their hope that this collaboration could pave the way for greater achievements both on and off the field, promoting the growth of football in the region and strengthening community ties.

The next steps involve further negotiations to iron out the specifics of the partnership, with both teams eager to formalize the relationship that could mark a new chapter for Gor Mahia FC.
