Gor Mahia showed their dominance in the Kenyan Premier League with a resounding 2-0 victory against Police FC at Nyayo Stadium, solidifying their position at the top of the table.

The match, held in front of an enthusiastic crowd, showcased the attacking prowess and determination of the K’Ogalo squad.

The game kicked off at a lively pace, with Gor Mahia quickly asserting their presence on the pitch. In the 2nd minute, a spectacular run down the flank by AduKwaw led to a perfectly timed assist for Felix Oluoch, who finished expertly to find the back of the net.

Oluoch’s strike not only showcased his clinical finishing ability but also set the tone for the rest of the match, as he celebrated with passionate fans chanting the iconic “Sirkal” anthem.

Determined to prove their mettle, Gor Mahia continued to press forward, maintaining possession and creating multiple scoring opportunities. Their second goal arrived in the 30th minute, when Sharrif Musa demonstrated his skill by flicking the ball over the Police goalkeeper after a well-placed long passĀ  from Ebenezer Adukwaw. This stunning goal further cemented Gor Mahia’s commanding lead, and the players left no doubt that they were in this match to handle business.

As the game progressed, Police FC struggled to find their rhythm, unable to penetrate Gor Mahia’s well-organized defense. K’Ogalo’s midfield controlled the pace of the match, dictating play and effectively shutting down any attempts by Police to mount a comeback.

With this victory, Gor Mahia has firmly established themselves at the summit of the league standings, and their performances suggest they will be a formidable force as the season unfolds. Fans of the club are buoyed by the team’s strong start and are filled with optimism that this could be a championship-winning campaign.

The final whistle confirmed Gor Mahia’s 2-0 victory, a well-deserved win that reflects their readiness to compete for glory. As they continue to build momentum, it appears that it will take a significant effort from other teams to dethrone them from their current position at the top. The passion and energy displayed by the players are sure to inspire the supporters as they look forward to the upcoming matches in the league.
