After giving away a 2-0 lead and had to fight for a later equalizer against Sofapaka in a league match yesterday in Machakos, Gor Mahia head coach Dylan Kerr says he gave out instructions to his player but seems they were never taken seriously.
My players have to show desire to win every time. lt seems they are happy to accept poor play and poor goals conceded. Fair play to us, until last minute we didn’t give up but again, at 2-0 we didn’t kill the game off, we thought we’ve won and that allowed our opponents back into the game Dylan Kerr. Head Coach
This is coming after a nervous late show where Innocent Wafula grabbed a last minute goal to make it 3-3 and save K’Ogalo’s face in what had been seen as their first league defeat in 2018 season.
“Leading 2-0 at half time, I told my players to stop giving the ball away because Sofapaka would counter since we always want to score. They obviously did not listen, fair play to Sofapaka they didn’t give up and very poor defending cost us three goals,” Kerr told the official club’s website.
The Briton says his players have to show character in all matches.
Despite the gruelling draw, Gor Mahia are still at the top with 31 points from 13 matches played.

May 21, 2018I totally concur, but in the art of war its said that if the instructions are clear but not adhered to, its the generals fault. . Let whoever is taking his opportunity for granted bear the brunt.
