In a heartwarming display of camaraderie, Harambee Stars’ Austin Odhiambo, a talented attacking midfielder from Gor Mahia, alongside AFC Leopards’ right back Lewis Bandi, made a memorable courtesy visit to Mr. Eliud Owalo, the Deputy Patron of Gor Mahia, earlier today.

This meeting comes in the wake of the team’s impressive performances in the ongoing TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN).

Mr. Owalo took the opportunity to commend the young talents representing Kenya on the continental stage, highlighting their remarkable achievements thus far in the tournament.

The Deputy Patron expressed his pride in the team, particularly lauding their ability to secure a victory against formidable opponents, including heavyweights Morocco and DR Congo.

“Met Harambee Stars’ right back Lewis Bandi and midfielder Austin Odhiambo. I commended the boys for their fantastic display in the ongoing CHAN tournament,” Owalo stated, beaming with pride as he addressed the players. His words echoed the sentiments of many fans who have rallied behind the team’s spirited performances.

The Deputy Patron emphasized the importance of supporting the national team, recognizing the dedication that has driven them to the top of Group A with an impressive 7 points.

He acknowledged the contributions of the players and the technical staff, stating, “We owe a great debt of gratitude to our National Soccer Team for doing us proud so far.”

As it stands, Harambee Stars lead their group with 7 points, followed closely by Angola with 4 points, DR Congo, and Morocco, each with 3 points, while Zambia remains at the bottom with 0 points.

The ongoing tournament has not only showcased the skill of the Harambe Stars but also stirred national pride, uniting fans and fostering a deeper appreciation for the beautiful game.

With their sights set on further success in the championship, the encouragement from leaders like Mr. Owalo serves as an important motivator for the team.

As the tournament progresses, the entire nation continues to rally behind the players, hoping for more historic moments on their quest for glory.
