Former Gor Mahia players who were released during the mid-window transfer are finding new homes in various Kenya Premier League clubs!
Midfielder Musa Masika has joined Mathare United, the proud champions of the 2008 Premier League. He inked a short-term deal with the Slum Boys just a few weeks after leaving Gor Mahia, where he, unfortunately, parted ways along with three other teammates.
Musa was released with Kevin Juma, Enock Wanyama, and promising goalkeeper Dolph Junior Owino. Juma is excited to be reunited with his old coach, Salim Babu, at Nairobi City Stars while Owino has made a quiet move to Murang’a Seal. Wanyama, on the other hand, is creating quite a buzz, with both Murang’a Seal and FC Talanta keen on signing him.
We know Musa will fit in perfectly at Mathare United! He has previously collaborated with coach John Kamau during his time with the national U20 team and at Wazito FC, which will certainly help him settle in smoothly. Plus, he’ll be reconnecting with some familiar faces—his former teammates Elli Asieche, Erickson Mulu, and Mohammed Kilume, all of whom he played with at KCB.
Mathare United is making a splash in the mid-season transfer window, bringing in exciting new talent to boost their squad. It’s an exhilarating time for the team, and we’re sure that Musa’s arrival will add even more energy on the field!
