Gor Mahia heads to Thika this Saturday in yet another entertaining clash against current defending champions Tusker FC to be played at 3.00 p.m.

A total of 192 goals have been scored with K’Ogalo having 101 goals in the process while the Brewers taking home 91 goals.

Gor Mahia relinquished two games against the Brewers in n last season losing 2-1 in both home and away games (2-1 and Ruaraka and 1-2 at Moi Sports Center Kasarani)

Gor Mahia Captain Philemon Otieno says they are more than ready for the match and will do all they can to grab much-required points to enable them to push for the league title which is currently being led by Kakamega.

Homeboyz: “Our preparation has been good so far this week and everyone on the team is ready for tomorrow’s game. I call upon our loyal fans to turn up in large numbers because we need their support,” Otieno told K’Ogalo news team.

Tusker FC

Tusker FC have managed to haul themselves from the lower reaches of the 18-team table to the second position and are now 10 points behind the Kakamega-based side.

The former league champions are aware of the task that awaits them and coach Robert Matano has called on his charges to put up a solid performance if they are to beat K’Ogalo.

“We all know what to expect when playing against Gor Mahia, we know how tough the game will be, we can only get something from the game if we remain tight at the back and also attack as a team,” Matano told GOAL.

“It will not be easy, we have to be solid, we want to catch up with Homeboyz and we still have a number of matches to play. All we need to do is win our matches, and see where we will be at the end of the season.”

God Mahia are currently in the fourth position with 41 points with 23 games played while their rival are in position two with 42 points with 24 games played.
