Gor Mahia Patron Eliud Owalo reacted after the club suffered a shocking 1-0 defeat to minnows BB Bread FC in a Mozzart Bet Cup Round of 32 clash played at Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
In a calm and composed reaction following the upset, the patron acknowledged the disappointing result but urged the team and fans to remain focused on the bigger picture.

“Watched a football match where Gor Mahia FC lost 0-1 to BB Bread FC in a Mozzart Cup match played at the Nyayo National Stadium this afternoon.
Not the best of results, but ni hali ya game. Focus now shifts to the Kenya Premier League title. Onwards and upwards K’Ogalo”, Owalo posted on his social media page.

The defeat saw Gor Mahia exit the domestic cup earlier than expected after falling to the giant-killing side, which had already stunned AFC Leopards earlier in the competition.
Despite the disappointment, the message from the club leadership signals a shift in focus to the league campaign as the record Kenyan champions aim to defend their status at the top of Kenyan football.
