Despite a heavy downpour that delayed kick-off by 20 minutes, K’Ogalo settled quickly and asserted control, producing a dominant first-half display that laid the foundation for a comprehensive win.
First-Half Dominance
The deadlock was broken in the 24th minute when Enock Morrison struck from long range. His powerful effort took a slight deflection off a KCB defender before finding the back of the net to give Gor Mahia a deserved lead.
Just four minutes later, Gor Mahia doubled the advantage following a well-worked attacking move. Samuel Kapen delivered a low, accurate cross from the right flank, which Shariff Musa finished calmly to make it 2–0.
