Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier has assured fans that the club’s transfer business is far from over following the signing of Jackson Dwang from Posta Rangers.
Rachier revealed that the club’s technical bench, led by head coach Charles Akonnor, has been given the green light to identify key areas that need strengthening, with new signings expected to be completed without delay.
“We are still looking at reinforcements in different departments. We have instructed the coach to identify areas that need to be strengthened and we will follow his advice when making those signings,” Rachier told Citizen Digital.
The chairman also addressed the exit of attacking midfielder Austin Odhiambo, who recently sealed a move to Lebanese side Nejmeh FC, dismissing claims that Dwang was signed as a direct replacement.
According to Rachier, the former Posta Rangers midfielder has been brought in to add depth and quality to the midfield, not to replace Odhiambo on a like-for-like basis — a clear signal that Gor Mahia are building a stronger, more balanced squad for the challenges ahead.
