The coach also addressed the defensive lapses that contributed to the loss. “The only times Bidco seemed to threaten us were when we lost focus and carelessly gave the ball away, particularly in midfield. Our goalkeeper faced a couple of heavy moments as well, including a mis-kick that nearly led to a goal against us. It’s clear that we need to take more responsibility when we have possession.”
Despite the disappointing result, Akonnor remains optimistic about the team’s potential. “We will continue to build on the positive aspects of our play. There is a belief within the squad that if we address our finishing and the decisions made in crucial moments, we can turn our performances into results.
