Cliff Nyakeya has moved back to Gor Mahia on a 1yr contract from Egyptian premier league side  FC Masr where he terminated his contract on mutual consent.

The prodigal son is back from where he started as a Gor Mahia youth player. After Gor youth, Nyakeya moved to Mathare United later on in 2019 moved to Egypt. In 2020/2021, Nyakeya’s return to K’Ogalo failed, making his move to Wazito FC and then to AFC Leopards.

Nyakeya has been a standout performer for Patrick Aussems’ team, contributing significantly to their commendable seventh-place finish in the recently concluded 2022/2023 FKF Premier League season.

The impending transfer has sparked waves of excitement among K’Ogalo faithful, who are eagerly awaiting the official announcement.

The talented attacking midfielder’s return to the club holds special significance, as he initially rose through the ranks of Gor Mahia’s junior setup but missed out on a spot in the senior team.

His connection with Gor Mahia runs deep, as he spent his formative years honing his skills in the club’s youth setup.

His journey from the junior ranks to the first team was a testament to his dedication and talent, but a senior contract eluded him at the time.
