Former Gor Mahia midfielder Khalid Aucho has completed another invincible season with Tanzanian giants Young Africans (Yanga), seven years after achieving the remarkable feat with K’Ogalo.

Aucho turned out for record league champions Gor Mahia from January 2015 to August 2016 before making the move to South African outfit Baroka FC.

The Ugandan international was part of the storied K’Ogalo side that lifted the league unbeaten back in 2015 after winning 24 games and drawing six in the then 16-team league.

The 28-year-old became one of the few players in the continent to lift two league titles in different countries unbeaten after helping Yanga wrestle the title from Simba SC in the Tanzanian Premier League.

“Feels just good to be INVINCIBLE once again. Thanks go to all wananchi throughout this campaign. Am forever humbled,” posted Aucho on his Twitter handle.

Aucho joined Yanga from the Egyptian side Masr El Makasa back in August 2021 and was a vital cog in the team with his inspiring midfield performances.

Yanga lifted their 23rd league title and what made it ever so special was piping Simba in the trophy count with Wekundu wa Msimbazi on 22 titles as they last won it in 2021.

In their invincible season, Yanga won 22 games, drawing eight, and will represent the country in the CAF Champions League next season.
