Gor Mahia Supersub branch Kisumu held a CSR event on Mashujaa Day where they gave out playing boots to eight under 10 teams playing in the KYFA (Kisumu Youth Football Association) league. The event that was held at Kisumu Sports Ground had the kids play a fun and highly entertaining knock-out matches and later receive the playing boots from the branch. Most of the kids in these teams hail from Kisumu informal settlements and majority do lack adequate resources as they nurture their talents thus play barefoot. Midfielder Kenneth Muguna has today signed a three year deal with Gor Mahia. Muguna is making a return to the league champions after he moved to Tirana of Albania last year. Muguna, voted the league’s MVP in 2016 first joined Gor Mahia from Western Stima in 2017 and played a crucial role as he helped Gor Mahia reclaim the league title from Tusker FC that year, scoring 3 league goals in the process. He is the second player to be signed by the champions this transfer window after defender Shafik Batambuze.
Shafik Batambuze has today penned a two year contract with the reigning champions Gor mahia FC in readiness for the forthcoming CAF CL and the 2019 Kenya Premier League.
