Gor Mahia are on the brink of making CAF Confederations Cup history as they face Angola’s Petro Athletico tomorrow (Sunday) at the Kasarani as from 7pm. Gor Mahia moved to second position of KPL log after staging a stunning comeback against Kakamega Homeboys in a mid-week match played at Kenyatta Stadium – Machakos. Homeboyz took the lead five minutes of the second half through Luke Namanda and looked set to pull an upset but substitute Francis Mustafa equalized in the 67th minute. Three minutes after Mustafa equalizer, Boniface Omondi was on the scoreline with a good shot puting the defending champions on the lead. The defending champions have 32 points, one point adrift of Sofapaka with three matches in hand.

Gor Mahia Youth team beat Butterfly FC 3-2 in FKF division 2 Eastern Zone (zone C) match played at the Nairobi City stadium today. The lads created numerous chances in the opening moments of the match and were rewarded with a goal in the 7th through a well taken free kick by Alfayo Oyugi.
