Gor Mahia moved to third place on the log after beating Sofapaka 1-0 in a tough encounter at Afraha stadium in Nakuru. The lone strike by Samuel Onyango in the opening half was enough to give the defending champions maximum points. Sofapaka had their chances and the same applies to Gor Mahia in an entertaining end to end match. With the win, Gor Mahia are now placed third on the league standings with 25 points – three behind leaders Bandari with a game in hand.
