Ulinzi Stars have refuted reports that they signed Nicholas Kipkirui from Gor Mahia. The forward has not been on Gor Mahia’s matchday squad since the team’s CAF Confederations Cup Play-Offs 1st leg clash against Napsa Stars on 14th February. Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier says that the player requested for a release letter while admitting that the team has lost a dependable striker. Gor Mahia forward Nicholas Kipkurui has has left to join the military side Ulinzi Stars. The striker joined Gor Mahia on October 26th, 2018, and has been instrumental to the team performances both locally and continental. Kipkirui had earlier requested a release letter but had not confirmed where he was headed. He remains one of the best signings ever to don a K’Ogalo jersey from Zoo Kericho and will be missed dearly.

Gor Mahia suffered another loss in the hands of Nzoia Sugar in the BetKing Premier league played at Mumias Complex this evening. K’Ogalo was leading 1-0 at the break time courtesy of Samuel Onyango but the team gave away the lead in the second half with the final result favoring the sugar millers.
