Reighning champions Gor Mahia have officially announced the signing of goalkeeper Michael Onyango from Equity FC on a two-year contract ahead of the 2026/27 FKF Premier League season.
The 23-year-old joins the record Kenyan champions after an impressive campaign with Equity FC, where he emerged as one of the standout goalkeepers in the FKF National Super League, winning the league’s Golden Glove award.
Onyango becomes the latest addition to K’Ogalo’s squad as the club continues to reinforce key positions in preparation for the defence of its FKF Premier League title and its return to the CAF Champions League.

Speaking after completing the move, Gor Mahia welcomed the goalkeeper to the club, expressing confidence that his quality and potential will strengthen the team’s goalkeeping department.
The highly rated shot-stopper earned widespread praise last season for his consistency, commanding presence, and crucial saves that helped Equity FC enjoy a competitive National Super League campaign.
His arrival further intensifies competition for places in Gor Mahia’s goalkeeping unit as head coach looks to assemble a squad capable of competing on both the domestic and continental fronts.

Onyango is among several new faces recruited by Gor Mahia during the current transfer window as the club embarks on a major squad rebuild ahead of the new season. The club has also confirmed the arrivals of goalkeeper Humphrey Katasi, defender Emmanuel Kotei, defender Daniel Sakari, midfielders Lesley Otieno and Enock Machaka, as well as forwards Paul Okoth, David Okoth, and Hansel Ochieng.
With pre-season preparations underway, Gor Mahia supporters will be hoping Onyango can carry his outstanding National Super League form into the top flight and play a key role in the club’s pursuit of more domestic silverware and success in the CAF Champions League.
