Nyamira-based National Super League (NSL) side Lowland Starlets were early this morning involved in a road accident along the Chepilat, Chabera road while traveling to Luanda for their scheduled match against Bunyore Starlets.
According to initial reports, the team bus, which was carrying a total of 30 individuals, including players, technical bench, and club officials, was involved in the accident under circumstances that are yet to be fully established.

At least 13 players are currently receiving treatment at Kaplong Mission Hospital following the incident. The condition of the injured has not yet been officially disclosed, but emergency response teams acted swiftly to assist those affected.
The match against Bunyore Starlets is now in doubt as the football community awaits further updates on the players’ health and official communication from league organizers.
This unfortunate incident has once again raised concerns over travel safety for teams competing in lower-tier leagues across the country.
