Gor Mahia, Kenya’s most celebrated football club, has announced the signing of three new players, enhancing their squad as they gear up for the upcoming FKF Premier League.

The first addition is Michael Kibwage, a skilled defender who previously played for Tusker FC. After his contract expired at Tusker, Kibwage made the move to Gor Mahia, where he is expected to strengthen the club’s defense. His experience as a key player in the Harambee Stars’ squad for the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) will be crucial for Gor Mahia as they work to solidify their backline in the matches ahead.

Next, Gor Mahia welcomed Lewis Bandi, a right back transferring from AFC Leopards, who is also part of the Harambee Stars CHAN team. Bandi is known for his quickness and ability to support the defense, bringing a fresh dynamic to Gor Mahia’s style of play. His performances in the Kenyan Premier League and the ongoing CHAN have caught the eye, and fans are excited to see how he fits into the team.

Lastly, Byrne Omondi joins the squad as a goalkeeper from Badaei FC. He has impressed supporters during the ongoing CHAN, where he has secured two clean sheets in three matches, helping the Harambee Stars to victories, including a notable win against two-time CHAN champions DR Congo and the celebrated African football powerhouse, Morocco. His expertise in goal will provide healthy competition among Gor Mahia’s current keepers, ensuring a solid defensive front.

These signings not only showcase their individual talents but also reflect Gor Mahia’s commitment to nurturing competitive players who can proudly represent their nation.

The management of Gor Mahia is optimistic about the new signings, confident that they will play a significant role in the team’s success both domestically and on a continental level. Fans are eagerly anticipating how these newcomers will perform in the iconic green jersey as they aim to reclaim their place at the pinnacle of Kenyan football.
