Gor Mahia advanced to the Mozzart Ber Cup final after a thrilling match against the resilient Murang’a Seal at Dandora Stadium this evening.

K’Ogalo fell behind early in the game due to a defensive lapse, allowing a Murang’a striker to score in the 5th minute. The Seal maintained their lead throughout the first half, focusing on defense and waiting for counterattacks.

In the second half, substitute Bryson Wangai made an impact by scoring in the 58th minute. Just 10 minutes later, K’Ogalo star Alpha Onyango unleashed a powerful long-range shot, giving K’Ogalo a 2-1 lead.

However, the stubborn Seal side equalized in the 76th minute following another defensive mistake, where a long throw-in was headed in by their striker.

The score remained 2-2 until the end of regulation time, leading to a penalty shootout. Gor Mahia successfully converted five penalties, while goalkeeper Gad Mathews saved one, resulting in a final penalty score of 5-3.

With the win secured, Gor Mahia now awaits the outcome of the match between Mara Sugar and Nairobi United to determine their opponent in the final.

The journey to the final promises to be exciting for the passionate K’Ogalo supporters.
