Gor Mahia Queens delivered a thrilling performance to edge past TUK Ravens 2-1 in an entertaining FKF Women National Super League (WNSL) clash at Dandora Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

After a goalless first half, the match burst into life in the second period. Gor Mahia Queens broke the deadlock in the 64th minute when Lucky Achando calmly found the back of the net, capping off sustained pressure from the hosts.

TUK Ravens responded late in the game, grabbing an equalizer in the 84th minute to momentarily silence the home crowd and set up a tense finish.

However, the drama was far from over. Super substitute Agnes Igumba emerged as the hero, unleashing a stunning strike in the 90th minute to restore Gor Mahia Queens’ lead and secure all three points in dramatic fashion.

The atmosphere at Dandora was electric, with the passionate Green Army faithful turning up in full force. The iconic K’Ogalo choir, led by Taya Dok, added to the vibrant matchday experience, while club leadership was also present, including vice chair Sally Bolo, who served as acting president.

Taking to social media after the match, Bolo praised both the team and the fans:

“I was there and Dandora Stadium delivered. Electric atmosphere, high tempo, and a commanding performance from the Queens.”

K’Ogalo Choir was also on attendance at Dandora Stadium.

Despite the narrow scoreline, Gor Mahia Queens dominated large spells of the match. Min Timbe was particularly influential, creating multiple chances, though a lack of clinical finishing kept the contest closer than it might have been.

In the end, efficiency proved decisive, tekni ni 3 points (as long as the 3 points bagged), as Gor Mahia Queens walked away with a crucial victory.
