A historic and emotional reunion took place in Got Agulu, Usenge, where several legendary figures of Gor Mahia FC gathered at the home of host Paul Ramses Oduor, popularly known as “Pata.”

The gathering brought together iconic members of the club’s golden generation, including players who were part of the historic team that won the 1987 African Cup Winners’ Cup, widely remembered by Kenyan fans as the Mandela Cup.

The reunion was more than a simple meeting; it was a celebration of history, brotherhood, and the enduring legacy of the players who helped make Gor Mahia the most successful club in Kenyan football history.

Gor Mahia’s Golden Generation

Mike Otieno

A legendary winger admired for his blistering pace and technical ability, entertaining fans during one of the club’s most successful periods.

David Ochieng “Kamoga”

The experienced goalkeeper currently serving as Acting Chairman of the Gor Mahia Legends Welfare Group, where he plays a key role in supporting former players.

Nick Okoth Akura

Laban Jobita

A former Gor Mahia player who later transitioned into football administration, including managing Western Stima FC.

Paul Ramses Oduor “Pata” (Host)

Isaiah Omondi “Tiap” / “Janabi”
