The Sports Disputes Tribunal has thrown out the FKF Leagues and Competitions Committee’s decision that had awarded Nairobi United and Gor Mahia one point each after their match was abandoned in the 58th minute last December.

The case has been sent back for a fresh hearing under the 2019 rules, not the 2025 regulations the Committee previously used. FKF now has five days to deliver a new verdict, with the deadline set for next Friday.
In a bombshell move, the Tribunal also declared that the current FKF Disciplinary Committee is illegal because the General Assembly hasn’t ratified it and cannot adjudicate any cases.
