Gor Mahia Vice Chair Lady Sally Bolo has delivered a firm and confident statement after K’Ogalo edged APS Bomet 2–1 in a thrilling FKF Premier League encounter played at Kericho Green Stadium on Sunday, 15th February 2026, kick-off 2:00 PM.

The victory was more than just three points, it was sweet revenge, executed with authority and maturity by a side that knows exactly what it wants this season.

Match Recap

Gor Mahia started the game with intent, controlling possession and dictating tempo despite APS Bomet’s physical approach and home support. The pressure paid off when Ebenezer Assifuah broke the deadlock in the 6th minute, calmly finishing after sustained K’Ogalo build-up play.

APS Bomet responded with urgency, but Gor Mahia’s defensive discipline and midfield control kept them at bay. The decisive moment came when Jackson Dwang struck the second goal at the 80th minute,  sending the green-and-white faithful into wild celebrations and underlining the impact of the club’s January reinforcements.

Although APS Bomet managed a late consolation through Hansel Ochieng’ in the 82nd minute, K’Ogalo saw out the match professionally to secure a hard-fought 2–1 win.

Vice Chair Lady’s Statement: Champions’ Mentality

On his popular social media handles after the final whistle, the Vice Chair Lady emphasized that Gor Mahia’s position at the top is no accident, it is earned through consistency, sacrifice, and belief.

“Now it’s time to kulinda (protect) the table.
43 points at the top, this isn’t luck, it’s K’Ogalo DNA.
While others are calculating possibilities, we are calculating how to extend the gap.
The top spot isn’t borrowed, it’s earned and defended.
We shall stay up there and let the rest keep looking up.”
😏

Her words reflect the mood within the club: focused, calm, and ruthless when it matters most.

Statement of Intent

With 43 points, Gor Mahia remain firmly in control of the title race. Each match is now treated as a final, with no room for complacency as rivals continue to chase from below.

The APS Bomet victory showcased:

  • Tactical discipline
  • Squad depth
  • Mental toughness under pressure
  • Winning mentality away from home

As the season enters a decisive phase, one thing is clear, K’Ogalo are not defending the top spot out of fear, but out of authority.

💚🤍 Kulinda Meza. Panua Pengo. Let the rest keep looking up.
